Rum Cake

 

My Friend Linda’s Incredible Vanilla Rum Cake

1 Yellow Cake Mix
1 Small Box Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
4 Eggs
½ Cup Water or Milk
½ Cup Rum (we like Captain Morgan’s Spicy Rum)

GLAZE

1 Stick Butter
1 Cup Sugar
¼ Cup Water
¼ Cup Run
Preheat Oven to 325 degrees

Mix Cake ingredients together and pour into greased Bundt pan. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees. My oven is a little off, so I watch til it’s brown and usually take it out at 50 minutes.

When cake is almost done baking – Combine glaze ingredients in small saucepan. Let boil 1- 2 minutes.

Pour hot glaze mix over hot cake and let sit for 15 to 20 minutes until somewhat cooled.

When cake is cooled, invert onto cake plate.

Serve as is, or with whipped topping. Enjoy!
