Driving to Tennessee on Wednesday, just outside of Chattanooga, we clearly had angels watching over us.
We always pray at the start of any trip. But suddenly I felt an urge to pray as traffic increased. I whispered under my breath, “Lord, protect us on the rest of our journey. Please put angels around us to keep us safe.”
Jim was driving in the left lane, going about 70 miles per hour. A young woman with long brown hair, driving a white car while clearly texting, swerved across the lane beside my passenger door. We were riding side by side. I could see her head bowed as she was focused on her phone. Her knee was guiding the wheel.
Suddenly I gasped as her car swerved quickly even closer toward my door. I could have reached out and touched her had our windows been down.
Jim in turn swerved to the shoulder as far as he could go while trying to slow down and back off. He began honking his horn. Still she came on toward us.
I could almost feel the angel holding that car back from smashing into us. Suddenly she glanced up, saw us and jerked her steering wheel with both hands, nearly crashing with a car coming up behind and to her right.
Without a doubt, I know that the Angels were there, I could feel their mighty presence.
